Emma is in the second seat of her training contract. Emma is currently sitting in the Intellectual Property department. Her previous seat was in the Commercial Litigation department, with the Competition Team.
Previous experience includes:
•Assisting in the review of correspondence for the production of a log of privileged documents for an OFT investigation.
•Analysing and advising on the recoverability of foreign lawyers' fees.
•Assistance on the collation, review and drafting of witness statements and exhibits in an employment litigation matter.
•Review of subsidiary companies and customer contracts as part of a due diligence exercise ahead of an acquisition.
Before Edwards Wildman
Emma graduated from the Courtauld Institute of Art with a BA (Hons) in History of Art in 2007. After graduation, Emma worked in the public sector in project and business management roles for three years.
Emma then undertook the Graduate Diploma in Law and Legal Practice Course at BPP in London, completing her studies in 2012. Following the Legal Practice Course, Emma worked as a paralegal at the Practical Law Company in its Corporate, Commercial and Intellectual Property departments.
Besides Edwards Wildman
Emma loves to cook and tries to make a new dish at least once a week. She also enjoys country walks, particularly when combined with visiting the UK's heritage sites. (Trainee)
