Biography

Eric Ferrer has practiced law for over 25 years, Initially distinguishing himself in cases involving civil rights actions against government entities at the municipal, state and federal level. Ferrer has represented clients suffering serious injuries in such diverse areas as vehicular accidents, business torts, products liability, aviation accidents, and class actions.

During the course of his career, he has participated as trial counsel in such cases as: Schweitzer v. Lexington Insurance Company, et al, yielding a verdict of $51.4 million; Diaz v. City of Los Angeles, yielding a verdict of $9.4 million; Robertson v. City of Los Angeles, yielding a verdict of $3.0 million; Rose v. City of Los Angeles, yielding a verdict of $2.1 million; Johnson v. State of California, yielding a verdict of $2.4 million; Pierson v. City of Los Angeles, yielding a verdict of $2.2 million; Wilson v. Koomie Son, yielding a verdict of $1.8 million.

Ferrer has personally handled and participated as an attorney of record in a number of large settlements involving government agencies and school districts including 68th Street Students v. Los Angeles Unified School District, yielding a settlement in the amount of $6.1 million, Goodman v. LAUSD, yielding a settlement in the amount of $1.6 million, Paz v. City of El Monte, yielding a settlement of $3.0 million, Scott v. County of Los Angeles, yielding a settlement of $5 million, Daniels v. City of West Covina, yielding a settlement of $3.7 million, and Childs v. City of Denver, yielding a settlement of $1.3 million.

Representative Cases

· $50 million in damages awarded to pedestrian for injuries sustained in a Los Angeles streetcar accident (2003)

· $1.8 million verdict in elder abuse case
