Eric focuses his practice on litigating intellectual property disputes involving patents, trademarks, trade dress and copyrights, and he also has extensive experience with general commercial litigation matters.
Eric is admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in Texas and Kentucky, and he frequently litigates matters in those states as well as in California, New York and other jurisdictions. He also has experience litigating multiple matters before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. His practice includes patent litigation involving a wide variety of technologies ranging from biotechnology and electronics to software and clothing apparel. Eric also frequently litigates trademark, trade dress and copyright disputes involving retail manufacturing and apparel companies, quick-service and casual dining food service concerns, and magazine publications and related media, among others.
Eric also frequently negotiates and drafts business agreements including licensing, non-competition, master services and other Internet-related agreements. Eric's practice in the past has also included defending group and individual life, health, and disability insurance clients in complex ERISA claims.
