| Additional Bio Details | Eric May is a trial lawyer who practices in the area of workers' compensation and personal injury. He is a member of the District of Columbia and Maryland Bars. He is a 1965 graduate of Penn State University and 1972 graduate of the Catholic University Law School. Mr. May has tried over 500 workers' compensation cases and 100 jury trials in D.C., Maryland and Virginia. He has obtained the highest rating from Martindale Hubbell which is based on evaluations of practicing lawyers. He is author of the D.C. Workers' Compensation Manual, (now in 6th Edition) published by the D.C. Bar, author of workers' compensation section of D.C. Practice Manual (1990-2005), contributor to 1998 District of Columbia Standard Civil Jury Instructions, author of "A Fairer System of Compensation" published in the Washington Lawyer (1992), contributor of the District of Columbia Municipal Regulations (workers' compensation). He has taught courses on workers' compensation for the last 25 years for D.C. Bar Continuing Legal Education, Georgetown Law School Continuing Legal Education, Trial Lawyers of Metropolitan Washington, D.C., D.C. Office of Workers' Compensation, D.C. Employment Justice Center, Mediator, Superior Court of the District of Columbia Alternative Dispute Resolution Program, testified before the D.C. City Council on amendments to the D.C.
