Background
Eva Chan is an associate at our Toronto office. Eva was admitted to the Ontario Bar in 2001. She graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1999.
Prior to that, she received an Honours Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto in 1996. She has been a publisher, editor, contracts assistant at a major record label, and a computer programmer.
In September 2008, Eva completed a secondment at Bell Canada where she assisted on a broad range of commercial matters, including advising on services, equipment, reseller, and sponsorship agreements. While acting as in-house counsel, she received a 'Sales Excellence Award' from the enterprise sales team for her performance and teamwork.

- Advising on internet-related matters, including reviewing website pages
- Drafting and prosecuting trademark applications
- Drafting and reviewing intellectual property policies, licences and assignments
- Advising on advertising, marketing, and packaging and labelling matters
- Reviewing contest rules
- Advising on entertainment law matters
- Reviewing book publishing agreements
- Acting for buyers and sellers in corporate acquisitions and divestitures
