Evan Langert has been practicing commercial real estate and business law since 1985. He formerly served as head leasing counsel for the eastern United States for $2.5 billion NYSE-traded REIT Glenborough Realty Trust, and has negotiated scores of office, retail, and industrial leases in over twenty different states. He has also developed and taken real estate projects through zoning and entitlements, and has then leased them out on behalf of the owners (he also holds an active Maryland real estate broker's license and is an experienced commercial real estate broker). His real estate background includes significant experience in lending, project management, valuation, development, leasing, purchases and sales, workouts, REO disposition, and syndication. He has served as an expert witness on commercial real estate valuation and other matters upon multiple occasions, and has been retained for such purposes by Firemen's Fund and others. He is listed in "Who's Who In Real Estate", a publication that honors only one percent of real estate professionals.
Mr. Langert has also been active in business and corporate matters for many years. He is the former owner of both a pizza restaurant and a fine art gallery, and is very familiar with the challenges throughout the life cycle of small to mid-sized businesses. He helps businesses with entity formation, finding sites and negotiating the lease or purchase of those sites, corporate documentation and maintenance, dispute resolution (internal and external), and whatever else may come about through the life cycle of a small to moderate sized business.
Mr. Langert is an accomplished speaker and instructor with respect to commercial real estate leasing, REO's and distressed assets, and several other areas of commercial real estate.
As a lifelong singer-songwriter, he has also been active in the entertainment industry. He has published and represented world-renowned artists and represented art galleries. He presently serves as the project manager with Imagen Records for Candlelight Red, an up and coming hard rock band that is currently receiving extensive national airplay.
