Ezra is a former U.S. Bankruptcy Judge for the Northern District of Georgia and a member of the Bankruptcy practice group. He served as Bankruptcy Judge from 1976 through 1979. Both before and after his service on the Bench, he was a partner at Troutman Sanders and headed the firm's bankruptcy practice. Ezra has represented secured creditors, unsecured creditors, debtors-in-possession and creditors' committees. He has been appointed and elected as trustee in bankruptcy. He has also been appointed receiver in cases brought by the SEC as well as appointed special assistant attorney general by the State of Georgia to represent the interests of the State in bankruptcy cases. Ezra has represented parties acquiring assets in bankruptcy sales as well as landlords, equipment lessors, and other parties contracting with debtors.
