FELTON SMITH is a Partner in the Birmingham office, practicing primarily in the areas of real estate and finance. The largest part of his practice is negotiating agreements for acquisitions, development, sales, operation, management and leasing of commercial, industrial, brownfield and utility property for users and investors. He also represents lenders and borrowers in various types of in-state and multi-state financing transactions. The balance of his practice includes a variety of business transactions and contract work, legislative review and drafting and title insurance claims resolution. His clients include utilities, manufacturers, developers, investors, retailers, banks, finance companies, title insurers and management companies. Prior to joining Balch & Bingham, Felton worked as a banker in the areas of branch banking, investment services, correspondent banking and commercial lending and is a graduate of the Stonier Graduate School of Banking.
