The Fennemore Craig government relations practice encompasses most aspects of state, county and municipal government, as well as numerous federal agencies. It also works very closely with the Arizona Congressional Delegation on behalf of clients on issues before Congress.

Practice group members have decades of experience in government relations and public affairs, complimented by service in leadership roles with civic, charitable and political organizations. This combination of experience and connections helps the government relations group serve clients from most sectors of the Arizona economy, including aerospace, telecommunications, health care, professional services, technology, transportation, and manufacturing.

Legislative issues concerning tax, economic development, environment and natural resources, labor and employment, health care, and utilities are just a few of the areas for which clients are represented at the Arizona Legislature. Related activities include drafting and negotiating legislation, monitoring issues, testifying at hearings and advocating for legislative measures, both at the legislature and the governor's office.

Government relations activities also extend to state agencies, Arizona counties and city governments, as well as Arizona tribal governments and include such issues as procurement, permitting, land use and zoning, condemnation, licensing and economic development. Further, the government relations practice group regularly teams up with other Fennemore Craig lawyers experienced in tax, land use, real estate, health care, insurance, employment, and environment and natural resources, just as examples, to assist clients on a host of issues that intersect government at all levels.
