| Additional Bio Details | Fitzgerald Law Firm LLC provides legal services to individuals and businesses involved in civil litigation in two focused areas. We represent some clients as specialized settlement counsel and others as litigation counsel depending upon their needs and circumstances. As settlement counsel, we act in a limited role creating settlement opportunities, negotiating and arranging settlements. As litigation counsel, we represent clients in all aspects of civil litigation.
Mr. Fitzgerald has been a trial lawyer for almost thirty years and has handled hundreds of complex civil cases. He has tried many jury cases to verdict in state and federal courts as lead counsel and has negotiated the settlement of hundreds of others. His cases have involved contract disputes, intellectual property, tax claims, real estate disputes, municipal law, fires, explosions, construction sites, product liability, maritime and boating incidents, pharmaceuticals, structural failures, mechanical design and many other issues.
He joined Meehan, Boyle & Cohen when it was founded in 1985 and became a partner 2 years later. In 2001, the firm name was changed to Meehan, Boyle, Black & Fitzgerald. During his career Mr. Fitzgerald found professional enjoyment from trying jury cases rivaled only by the excitement of negotiation and dispute resolution. In 2007 he started Fitzgerald Law Firm LLC to permit expansion of his practice into the area of settlement counsel and he established Fitzgerald Dispute Resolution LLC to provide mediation and conciliation services.
