Frank McLaughlin is a partner in our Litigation Group in Toronto. Mr. McLaughlin has an exceptional record of success as lead trial and appellate counsel in a broad range of cases. He practises in the area of civil litigation with particular emphasis on business disputes, class actions, medical malpractice and product liability. Mr. McLaughlin has represented defendants in class action lawsuits involving product liability, securities law and alleged price-fixing conspiracies. As a leading trial lawyer in the field of medical malpractice, Mr. McLaughlin is particularly skilled in cases which involve scientific evidence.
Mr. McLaughlin has spoken and written on a variety of legal topics, is an instructor at the Trial Advocacy Course at the Faculty of Law at the University of Toronto, and has taught at the Advocates' Society's Appellate Advocacy Program.
Mr. McLaughlin was a member of the Canadian Olympic team in 1984, 1988 and 1992. He won an Olympic bronze medal in Seoul, South Korea in 1988.
Mr. McLaughlin received his LL.B. from the University of Toronto in 1988, and was called to the Ontario bar in 1990.
