Fraser Stryker was founded in Omaha in 1898. The firm engages in all major commercial and litigation practice areas, with special emphasis in complex litigation, telecommunications, mergers and acquisitions, environmental law, labor and employment practice (management) and business and real estate transactions.

Fraser Stryker provides broad-based legal support in many practice areas for telecommunications clients. The firm has been general counsel to the public power utility which serves eastern Nebraska since its inception. For many years the firm has been defense counsel to the largest auto and casualty insurer in Nebraska. Fraser Stryker serves some of the country's largest construction companies. The firm is regularly retained for representation in complex litigation matters filed in this area, is general counsel to a major area hospital, provides on-going labor representation to management of local and regional businesses and acts as local and due diligence counsel in regional mergers and acquisitions.

Fraser Stryker lawyers are frequent lecturers at continuing legal education seminars and have published in their respective specialty areas. Fraser Stryker is pro-bono counsel to community and civic organizations including the United Way, Mid-America Council of the Boy Scouts of America, Omaha Community Playhouse, Omaha Zoological Society, Nebraska Humane Society, and Lauritzen Gardens.
