Frederick J. Brookwell

Frederick J. Brookwell was born in Morristown, New Jersey on April 10, 1954. He was admitted to the bar in 1980 in California. He is licensed to practice before the United States Court of Appeal for the Ninth Circuit, The United States District Court for the Central, Eastern, Northern and Southern Districts of California. He has also appeared pro hac vice in the United States District Court for numerous districts throughout the nation including the Southern District of New York. Mr. Brookwell received his B.A. from Brown University in 1976 and his J.D. from Southwestern University School of Law in 1980. Before becoming Of Counsel to Hamburg, Karic, Edwards & Martin LLP, in May of 2009, Mr. Brookwell was the CFO and Corporate Counsel of Greystone Television and Films and its affiliated entities. Prior to that he was a shareholder in the firm of Buchalter Nemer. Mr. Brookwell specializes in entertainment transactions and complex litigation including large asset family law matters. Mr. Brookwell has three daughters and a son and lives in Los Angeles.
