Frederick William Swaim, III: Lawyer with Galloway, Johnson, Tompkins, Burr & Smith A Professional Law Corporation

Frederick William Swaim, III

LinkedIn
Cool-headed, dry-humored, and steadfast, Frederick William (“Billy”) Swaim III honed his legal habits early. Born to a home where the language of law comprised the daily discourse -- with his Dad and name-sake a Law Professor for four decades, his Mom a litigator, and his older sister a future prosecuting attorney – Billy joined the firm’s Maritime Section after securing his LLM in Admiralty with distinction from Tulane University. The personification of commitment to excellence in his principally federal practice, blue and brown water work, Billy has earned a reputation among colleagues and clients alike for his hard-work and diligent defense of cases in jurisdictions including Alabama, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, New York, Ohio, Texas, and beyond. Since Hurricane Katrina, Billy has been called to focus his attentions also upon the defense of large first party insurance claims (i.e., casinos, government entities – prisons, school boards, and commercial developments), as well as the representation of contractors in commercial construction claims. Billy is a native New Orleanian who, like so many others, lost his home to the waters in August of 2005. He is married and the father of two girls.
