Biography

Fredrick concentrates his practice in the areas of real estate, development and construction. He often is called upon to represent architects, engineers, business owners and contractors in various construction disputes, including claims for defective specifications and designs, cost overruns and property damage. Examples include:

•Appealing a Madison County, Ill., judgment against land surveyor client in a case involving allegations of professional negligence related to the design and construction of a residential subdivision.

Fredrick also has product liability experience with clients, including food-processing companies and chemical manufacturers.

•Represented a chemical manufacturer in a negligence action involving alleged toxic exposure that resulted in significant health issues involving past and future medical expenses estimated to be in excess of $2 million.

•Represented flavoring manufacturer in popcorn lung cases in several states.

•Defended companies accused of violating the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and similar state laws.
