At Fredrikson & Byron, our Bankruptcy, Restructuring & Workouts Group has successfully handled over 150 corporate reorganizations – in Minnesota and across the country – and the three senior members of our team have a combined total of more than 90 years of business bankruptcy experience.

Group attorneys are very active in bar and industry programs, including the American College of Bankruptcy, the American Bar Association Business Bankruptcy Committee of the ABA Section of Business Law, the American Bankruptcy Institute, Turnaround Management Association (Upper Midwest Chapter), the Hennepin County Bar Association Debtor/Creditor Section, and the Minnesota State Bar Association, Bankruptcy Section. In addition to holding leadership positions in these organizations, group members are also a co-instructor of the Bankruptcy Clinic at the University of Minnesota Law School; a Certified Business Bankruptcy Specialist by the American Bankruptcy Board of Certification; and a Fellow in the American College of Bankruptcy.

Services Available

For creditor or debtor clients, we provide services in bankruptcy or reorganization cases. Workouts of commercial loans, bankruptcy cases, loan workouts, liquidations, informal restructurings, debtor-creditor litigation in and out of bankruptcy court, commercial and banking litigation, reclamations, and receiverships and assignments for benefit of creditors (“ABC’s”).
