- Cowles Media, owner of the Minneapolis Star Tribune, was acquired by McClatchy Newspapers, Inc.
- Dexon Manufacturing Company sold its assets to La Calhene, Inc.
- Gaming Corporation of America was acquired by Grand Casinos, Inc.
- Medtronic, Inc. acquired AneuRx, Inc.
- Medtronic, Inc. acquired Sofamor Danek Group, Inc.
- Medtronic, Inc. acquired Arterial Vascular Engineering, Inc.
- Represented a special committee of the Board of Directors of RDO Equipment Co. in evaluating, negotiating, and making a recommendation on a tender offer originated in 2003 by the company's principal shareholder (through RDO Tender Co.)
- Spanlink Communications, Inc. management, with financing from Cisco Systems, Inc., acquired Spanlink’s publicly held shares in a going private transaction.
- The Pillsbury Company sold Pet Specialty Printing businesses.
- The Pillsbury Company acquired the Heinz Bakery Products division of H.J. Heinz Company
- PW Eagle, Inc acquired shares of Uponor ETI Company from Uponor North America, Inc.
- All assets of Vantare International Inc. were acquired by Featherlite Mfg., Inc.
