G. Calvin Hayes practices in the area of complex commercial and administrative litigation. His litigation experience includes representing individuals, businesses, financial service institutions, and health care entities in state and federal court and in administrative hearings. Mr. Hayes is also experienced in defending government investigations. He has represented financial service institutions and their officers in matters involving the FDIC and State of Florida Office of Financial Regulation. Mr. Hayes' practice often involves class actions and he has defended clients in class actions involving: fraud, false advertising, unfair trade practices, securities, sales tax, breach of contract, privacy statutes, antitrust law, Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA), the Fair Housing Act, mass torts, product liability, and toxic substance exposure. He is experienced in litigating statewide and national class actions in both Florida state and federal courts. He serves as Co-Chair of the Mass Torts Subcommittee of the ABA Class Actions and Derivative Suits Committee.
