Greg Shadrix was born and reared in Carrollton, Georgia. Greg graduated from the University of West Georgia (formerly West Georgia College) with highest honors with a B.A. degree. He earned his juris doctorate degree cum laude from the University of Georgia School of Law and he achieved a Masters in Taxation from the Emory University School of Law.

Greg was admitted to the bar in June 1983. He currently serves as Principal and President of Shadrix Lane, P.C., which was founded in February 1997. His law practice is concentrated on taxation, commercial transactions, estate planning, estate administration, and real estate transactions.

Greg has served in numerous civic and charitable organizations, to wit: Former Vice-President and Director of Carrollton Jaycees; former President of West Georgia College Alumni Association; formerly served on Board of Directors of Carroll County Chapter of the American Cancer Society; former member of Carrollton Dawnbreakers Rotary Club; Chairman of 1993-1994 "A Day for West Georgia College" Annual Fund Drive; Board of Directors of First Georgia Banking Company; former member of Board of Trustees of University of West Georgia Foundation, having served one term as Secretary; member of initial Board of Directors of Carrollton City Schools Foundation; former advisory director of Regions Bank of Carroll County.

Greg is a frequent speaker on estate and tax planning.

Greg and his wife Melissa have two children, Stan and Sydney, and are members of First United Methodist Church in Carrollton, Georgia.
