Practice/Industry Group Overview
For over twenty years, Gardere attorneys have specialized in representing food and beverage industry clients, including restaurants, clubs, hotels, grocers and other retailers, wholesalers, breweries and wineries. In addition to general representation handling corporate, contract, financing, and securities matters, the Firm has represented food and beverage industry clients in regulatory matters including alcoholic beverage licensing, regulatory and enforcement matters and other state and local licensing issues.
The Firm also provides franchising services, assists in offering securities to the public or private sector, handles labor and employment matters, and provides any other legal services required by food and beverage industry clients. Clients for whom the Firm has provided these services include over 20 major national and regional restaurant chains as well as grocery chains, beverage alcohol manufactures and wholesalers, and hotel chains. The Firm has also represented food products manufacturers, food wholesalers and food growers within this industry.
Additionally, the Firm has successfully established good working relationships with state and local agencies having jurisdiction over food and beverage industry clients, including the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission, the Comptroller's office, and other relevant agencies, in an effort to provide maximum value to its food and beverage clients.
