Mr. Berman focuses on real estate law, and he is experienced in handling sophisticated transactions throughout the United States in all of the following areas: office, retail, and restaurant leasing and subleasing on behalf of landlords and tenants; brokerage matters on behalf of landlords, tenants and brokers; the purchase and sale of vacant land, improved commercial and industrial properties, and residential multifamily and student housing complexes on behalf of purchasers and sellers; the development of commercial and industrial properties, and residential multifamily and student housing complexes, including drafting and negotiating construction contracts, on behalf of property owners, landlords, and tenants; mortgage and construction lending on behalf of lenders and borrowers; workouts and restructuring of loans on behalf of lenders and borrowers; and cable television and telecommunications licensing on behalf of landlords and tenants in commercial, industrial, and residential buildings.
