Gary Hebert is a member in the firm's New Orleans office. He practices primarily in the area of products liability defense, and he regularly represents foreign and domestic manufacturers in the automotive, machinery, medical and consumer products industries. Gary's practice frequently involves matters relating to Electronically Stored Information ("ESI"), and he serves on the firm's ESI team. He also assists the firm's White Collar practice team, primarily in matters related to ESI and corporate investigations. Products Liability Gary's practice is focused on the defense of manufacturers in products liability matters, both foreign and domestic. He has represented numerous types of products in litigation, including automobiles, heavy equipment, prescription medical devices, forklifts, smoke detectors and numerous other consumer products. He has successfully defended products liability matters at the trial and appellate levels and has been involved with the defense of class actions. Gary speaks regularly to client groups focused exclusively on product liability defense litigation, and automotive product liability law in particular. On selected theories, Gary has handled cases in other parts of the country, from Louisiana to Oklahoma to Arkansas to Missouri to Nebraska and beyond. Gary is active in the alumni association for the Loyola College of Law, having recently served as president of that group. Gary now serves on the visiting committee at Loyola. Gary also serves as guest lecturer as part of the University of Zurich LLM program focused on international law.
