| Biography | Gary L. Green joined the firm as a partner in 1989, and has in excess of 20 years of experience in the insurance law industry. He currently supervises and is involved in a variety of cases relating to coverage opinions and litigation, as well as cases involving construction defect, employment discrimination, general liability and primary and excess liability policies. Prior to Harris, Green & Dennison, Mr. Green was with the firm of Clausen, Harris & Campbell where his primary emphasis was on insurance coverage cases. He spent seven years with the firm of Hillsinger & Costanzo where he gained experience in all phases of defense practice including preparing and trying complex insurance defense actions. He was involved in one of the industry's most significant environmental actions, the asbestos case of Armstrong v. Aetna. He successfully argued before the California Supreme Court in Aaron Wiener, et al. v. Southcoast Childcare Centers, Inc., et al. on an important issue of a landowner's liability. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California at Los Angeles; a masters of Public Administration degree from the University of Southern California; and a Juris Doctor degree from Loyola Law School where he graduated in the top 10 percent of his class. In addition to the California State Bar, Mr. Green is admitted to the Central, Southern and Eastern districts of the U.S. District Court for California and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. He is a member of the Los Angeles County Bar, the Southern California Defense Counsel and the Defense Research Institute.
