George Berger is a partner at Phillips Nizer LLP where he heads the Insurance Department and is a member of the Litigation Department. In addition to serving as outside counsel to several major life, disability and reinsurance companies in a variety of matters. Mr. Berger also has been engaged in a wide ranging civil litigation practice for over 45 years in the fields of insurance, copyright, trademark, defamation and privacy, fraud, unfair competition, antitrust, licensing, real estate, art, securities, oil and gas, professional liability, and in matters involving defense contractor claims. In 2008, Mr. Berger began serving a three-year term as a member of the Departmental Disciplinary Committee of the New York State Supreme Court Appellate Division, First Judicial Department.
