Gil Arie is a corporate and business partner at Foley Hoag, focusing on mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, and emerging businesses. Gil has extensive experience representing public and private buyers and sellers in domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions and business reorganizations. He also advises startup founders and investors on entity formation, and corporate governance and management. Much of Gil's work with emerging companies, as well as with established public and private companies, focuses on equity and debt financing transactions, and on general corporate and business matters. He has significant international experience, assisting early-stage and mature foreign companies operating in the U.S. to structure, form and conduct business operations and assisting U.S. companies to structure, form and conduct business operations abroad. Before joining Foley Hoag, Gil practiced for a number of years with one of the largest business and corporate law firms in Israel. He received an LL.B. from Tel Aviv University Faculty of Law and an LL.M. from Cornell Law School, and is admitted to practice in Massachusetts, New York and Israel.
