Gilles Touchette practises employment and labour law, representing employers exclusively, both as a trial lawyer and as a negotiator. He has vast experience as a trial lawyer before the civil courts and all administrative tribunals with jurisdiction in employment and labour law, on matters related to both collective and individual rights.
A major aspect of his practice involves acting as a spokesperson in collective bargaining and as an advisor on bargaining strategy and planning. He also regularly participates in medium and long-term human resources and labour relations strategic planning for several large corporations in most sectors of the Canadian economy.
From 1992 to 2001, Mr. Touchette was a member of the management committee and chair of the Canadian employment and labour law group of Ogilvy Renault (a predecessor firm of Norton Rose Canada). He continues to be responsible for the national and international development of our Canadian employment and labour law group.
