| Biography | Glenn Law is a partner with Foley & Lardner LLP and a member of the firm's Electronics and IP Litigation Practices. He is also a member of the Automotive and Medical Devices Industry Teams. Mr. Law counsels clients on intellectual property matters, including patent enforcement and licensing, defense of infringement allegations, patent prosecution, due diligence investigations, product clearance, and litigation. Mr. Law is also chair of Foley's IP Policies, Procedures, and Best Practices Committee where he works on IP Best Practices, adapting practices to changes in laws and regulations, and IP loss prevention. Mr. Law is a licensed professional engineer in the state of Virginia and has a technical background in digital and analog circuit design, computer systems, and nuclear reactors. Mr. Law graduated from Cornell University (B.S., electrical engineering, 1983). Following graduation, he spent five years in the U.S. Navy, serving to the grade of lieutenant. Mr. Law also graduated from the George Washington University School of Law (J.D., with high honors, 1992), where he was a member of The George Washington University Law Review and was elected to Order of the Coif. He is the author of "Liability Under the Process Patent Amendments Act of 1988 for the Use of a Patented Process Outside of the United States" 60 The George Washington University Law Review 245, which has been cited in several court decisions. Mr. Law is admitted to practice before the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, and various other federal courts. He is also admitted to practice in Virginia and the District of Columbia. |
