Gordon's practice includes a wide variety of commercial litigation and insolvency matters. He has represented corporate and individual clients in commercial disputes in the British Columbia Supreme Court and Court of Appeal, Federal Courts and before arbitration panels. He has had considerable experience in security and debt enforcement matters, franchise disputes, commercial contractual and leasing matters, securities litigation and arbitration, corporate shareholder disputes, employment matters and Native law issues, and has represented corporations, partnerships, individuals, receiver, receiver-managers and trustees in bankruptcy in these types of matters.
Gordon has spoken to many groups on legal topics, including the Continuing Legal Education Society, the Professional Legal Training Course, the Canadian Bar Association and a wide variety of industry groups such as the Canadian Franchise Association, the Credit Grantors Association, the Canadian Institute of Credit and Financial Management, and others. He has also published papers in the Asia Pacific Forum of the International Bar Association, Continuing Legal Education publications and the Construction Law Reports.
He strives to provide his clients with a practical result-oriented and efficient approach to dispute resolution and realization matters.
Prior to entering Law School, Gordon played for the National Men's Field Hockey team and still coaches sport teams at a community level. He is a director and chair of Sport BC and a Vancouver Community Association, co-chair of a Vancouver Park Board Task Force, and volunteers in various community and sporting groups.
