Diversity at Graham & Dunn PC

We recognize the power of diversity in the workplace, and we welcome people with different backgrounds at Graham & Dunn. Our approach to diversity and a policy of inclusion offers us a richer place to work. It helps us provide innovative legal solutions to our clients. And it gives us the ability to thrive in a diverse economy. Graham & Dunn is among a select group to receive the highest ranking in supporting diversity in the Pacific Northwest.

OUR PEOPLE
Our commitment to diversity is reflected in the composition of our people. Women and minority attorneys are engaged in all aspects of our firm. They hold leadership positions on our Board of Directors, as Industry and Practice Team leaders, and as committee chairs. In addition, our six person management team is made up of five women and one minority.

We provide equal opportunities and benefits to all employees, regardless of gender, nationality, race, religion or sexual orientation.

OUR PROGRAMS
Our diversity programs substantiate our beliefs. Current programs include:

Diversity Fellowship
We award an annual Diversity Fellowship to increase diversity in our firm and in the local legal community. Each year, we offer one or two fellowship recipients a paid summer clerkship at Graham & Dunn and a scholarship to be applied to the law student’s second year tuition. To be eligible, recipients must be first-year law students of ethnic or racial diversity and must demonstrate a commitment to fostering diversity in the legal community.

Diversity coordinator
We appoint a shareholder to serve as a diversity coordinator. The responsibilities of this role include monitoring the firm’s hiring and recruitment efforts, working with Washington’s minority bar associations and supervising the recipient of our Diversity Fellowship.

Diversity recruitment
We post all openings for attorney positions with Washington minority bar associations including the Asian Bar Association, Loren Miller Bar Association, Northwest Indian Bar Association, and others.

Graham & Dunn Memorial Scholarship
Each year, we award a scholarship to a high school senior enrolling in an accredited college or university. Scholarship recipients exemplify leadership, scholastic aptitude, commitment to community, and a demonstrated ability to overcome adversity. Many recipients are minority students.

COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
