Greg Casas focuses his practice in antitrust, complex business litigation, and energy and natural resources law. Greg's antitrust practice is international in scope and includes litigating price-fixing, bid-rigging, market allocation claims and providing counseling for DOJ/FTC investigations, joint venture formation, mergers and acquisitions, pricing plans and other contractual relationships. Greg's complex business litigation experience includes international dispute resolution, arbitration and class action litigation. His energy experience includes litigating power plant disputes, disputes arising out of oil and gas leases and joint operating agreements, product liability claims relating to oil field tools and supplies, and personal injury and death cases unique to the oil and gas industry. With regard to natural resources, Greg has experience in greenhouse gas emissions trading under The EU Emissions Trading System (EU ETS) and the Kyoto Protocol.

Significant Representations
· Represented medical equipment rental company in antitrust action in East Texas. Claims involved monopolization, restraint of trade and common law conspiracy.
· Represented agency of eastern European country in MDL proceedings involving antitrust claims related to sale of certain commodities. Claims included allegations of supply manipulation in order to artificially inflate and maintain prices worldwide.
· Represented largest provider of multi-service business process outsourcing and related consulting services in litigation matters ranging from alleged breach of service contracts to ERISA claims.
· Represented emissions credits aggregators in the negotiations for the development of Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) and Joint Implementation (JI) projects in the Middle East, China and Vietnam and the subsequent sale of the resulting credits.
· Represented Caribbean oil and gas producer in arbitration before the International Code Counsel (ICC) regarding the purchase of offshore leases.
· Represented manufacturer and nationwide wholesaler of commercial and residential heating and air conditioning products. Scope of representation included litigation of distributor disputes.
· Obtained a multimillion dollar unanimous jury verdict plus interest and attorneys' fees on behalf of client after six days of trial in federal court in Houston. Client brought the case against one of its former distributors seeking payment for product the distributor had already sold. The case involved more than 500 exhibits and complex accounting issues.
· Defended a "super-major" oil and gas company in a class action brought in Latin America by all purchasers of retail gasoline against several of the "super-major" oil companies. The case involved allegations that the oil companies were not providing gravity-adjusted pricing for gasoline sold in hot climates.
· Represented hospital group in Puerto Rico involving antitrust compliance, litigation, mergers and, acquisitions and government contracting.
