Biography

Gregory J. Lavorgna is a partner of the firm, with 30 years' experience in intellectual property law. Greg litigates intellectual property disputes, and assists clients in protecting, enforcing, and capitalizing on their intellectual property assets, and advises clients on issues of patentability, patent infringement and patent validity; trademark availability, registrability and infringement; copyright registration and infringement; trade secret protection and employee agreements; and licensing.

Greg's clients range from individual inventors and startup entrepreneurial ventures to major corporations, involving a wide range of technologies.

In General. Greg earned his law degree from Temple University School of Law, which he attended while employed as an engineer with General Electric Company, and graduated cum laude. He received his bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and his master's degree in electrical engineering from Drexel University. Following graduation, he remained at RCA as a member of the engineering staff. Greg moved from RCA to General Electric Company, where he developed design and testing specifications for electronic devices, and worked closely with vendors and customers. His experience as an engineer gives Greg a thorough appreciation for the problems facing clients, and the context for fashioning effective solutions to those problems in both counseling and litigation.
