Greg concentrates his practice in general counseling, risk management, commercial transactions and complex commercial disputes. A former outside general counsel at the chemical division of Olin Corporation, Greg has handled many multi-million dollar commercial transactions in the chemical industry including joint ventures, asset purchase agreements and manufacturing agreements. Greg also has prosecuted many large commercial cases as plaintiff's counsel, resulting in several multi-million dollar settlements.

Greg is the former Managing Partner of the Chattanooga office and is a member of the firm's Partner Board. Before joining the firm in 2001, he practiced with the Tennessee firm of Leitner, Williams, Dooley & Napolitan, PLLC.

Experience
· Defended a publicly traded chemical manufacturer in litigation arising from allegations that the manufacturer created fog over Interstate 75, causing many injuries and 15 deaths
· Assisted in the successful defense of a chemical manufacturer who operated an Oak Ridge, Tenn., plant that developed the hydrogen bomb. It was alleged that mercury escaped and contaminated local fish which allegedly resulted in the deaths of the plaintiffs who consumed the fish.
· Successfully prosecuted a civil case where the client, a major air products company, was supplied defective carbon dioxide contaminated with hydrogen cyanide, which ended up in retail carbonated beverages and in medical products that caused a FDA medical product recall
· Successfully litigated a Tennessee mercury incident which resulted in environmental litigation with the Department of Justice representing the United States, labor litigation with the State of Tennessee (TOSHA), and with 58 plaintiffs seeking hundreds of millions of dollars
· Defended a publicly traded regional fast food company when a large number of people contracted hepatitis from contaminated food
· Successfully placed a publicly traded company into involuntary bankruptcy which resulted in a full recovery in cash and credits
