Toby Schisler is a member of the Litigation Department. Toby has extensive experience in all aspects of litigation. He has first-chair trial experience in more than 20 cases in state and federal courts. Toby has also argued before the First, Second, Third, Fourth, Fifth, Seventh, Tenth, and Twelfth Appellate Districts in Ohio, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. Much of Toby's practice is devoted to representing motor vehicle manufacturers and distributors in litigation involving product liability claims, warranty issues, and consumer sales practices. Toby also has considerable experience representing owners, developers, contractors, and material suppliers in all phases of construction litigation. Toby's practice includes extensive experience handling real estate litigation and other cases involving troubled assets. This experience includes handling many commercial and residential foreclosure and receivership actions on behalf of lenders, owners, developers, and contractors. Toby also handles business and commercial litigation cases for a number of financial institutions and a diverse group of other clients. Toby is a member of the firm's Recruiting Committee.
