Haavind is the result of a merger in 2000 between Haavind & Haga, Hauge & Co., Vislie, Odegaard & Kolrud and Lowzow & Co. As such, the firm has its roots back to 1893, and is one of the largest in Norway.
Historically, the firm's litigation practice is very strong, with two presiding (of 19) Supreme Court judges from the environment and more than a third of its partners with a right of appearance before the Supreme Court.
The firm offers advice within all areas of business law and public law.
Members of the firm often serve as external board members to major Norwegian companies, companies within the new economy and for Norwegian subsidiaries.
