Background
Habeeb Syed is an associate in the Securities and Capital Markets Group at our Toronto office. Habeeb graduated from the University of Windsor, Faculty of Law, in 2006. In 2003 he completed an MBA, with concentrations in finance and strategy, and in 2001 received an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in Criminology, both from the University of Windsor. He was admitted to the Ontario Bar in 2007. Prior to practicing law, Habeeb spent several years working with the Canada Border Services Agency (formerly the Canada Customs and Revenue Agency). He was both a summer student and an articling student at Borden Ladner Gervais LLP before joining the firm as an associate in 2007.

ˇ Legumex Walker Inc. in connection with its Initial Public Offering, creating one of the largest processors of pulses and other special crops in Canada;
