| Additional Bio Details | Heather A. Salg grew up in Glenwood Springs, Colorado and attended Ft. Lewis College, in Durango, graduating cum laude in May of 1993. After taking two years off to work for the Aspen Skiing Company in the winter and as a river rafting guide in the summer, she attended graduate school from 1995-1998, simultaneously obtaining a J.D. from the Denver University Sturm College of Law, and an M.B.A. from the Denver University Daniels College of Business. During that time she also worked as a Federal Legal Intern for the U.S. Department of Defense in Golden, Colorado. Since being admitted to the bar in 1998, Ms. Salg has been a civil defense trial lawyer. She has substantial trial and arbitration experience defending a wide variety of cases and clients. She defends automobile personal injury, premises liability, civil rights and general negligence cases all along the front range, on the western slope and in the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado. Ms. Salg's particular areas of expertise are in premises liability and closed head injury cases. She is experienced in litigating wrongful death, environmental, dram shop act, bad faith and fraud claims. Ms. Salg also briefs and argues cases in front of the Colorado Court of Appeals. In July, 2010, Ms. Salg was appointed to the Colorado Defense Lawyer's Association Board of Directors as an Ex-Officio Board Member.
Outside the civil defense practice, Ms. Salg enjoys skiing and spending as much time as possible in Colorado's great outdoors with her husband and their two young children. |
