Biography

Background

Heather Pessione is an associate in our Toronto office. She graduated from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law in 2005 and was admitted to the Ontario Bar in 2006. Heather was a summer and articling student at Borden Ladner Gervais and joined the firm as an associate in September 2006.

Prior to her law degree, Heather studied Bioethics, earning an Honours B.A. (with Distinction) in Philosophy from the University of Toronto in 2000, and an M.A. in Philosophy from Dalhousie University in 2001. Her Masters' thesis focused on her main areas of interest: prenatal testing, genetic counselling, and disability rights.

While in law school, Heather volunteered as a Case Worker and Shift Leader at Downtown Legal Services, the University of Toronto Legal Aid Clinic.

Heather speaks conversational French.
