Heidi is a member of the firm's Policy Committee and leads the firm's Crisis, Risk Management & Executive Protection Practice and International Practice. Heidi is also a member of the firm's Insurance Practice.

Heidi advises health care providers, biotech firms, private equity firms, hedge funds, financial institutions, and many other companies in a variety of industries regarding how to manage risk, particularly risk prior to and during an investigation, litigation, or transaction. She also represents insurance companies, brokers, boards of directors, and insureds in a wide range of litigation matters and investigations.

Heidi is an internationally recognized author and speaker in the areas of risk, corporate governance, compliance, indemnification, cyber-liability, directors and officers, and fund management insurance in both the litigation and corporate context. She is currently leading the team responsible for developing the highly complex and unique risk management plan for Los Angeles's bid to host the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games. This engagement follows Heidi's work supporting Boston and its bid to host the same games.

Before joining Mintz Levin, Heidi was a partner in an international law firm and her experience includes a six-month secondment at the Financial Services Authority in London, England, focusing on regulatory matters. Prior to practicing law, she spent nine years in the insurance industry in claims, sales, and underwriting and has earned the distinguished Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation, giving her a practical and broad business perspective on insurance and risk issues.

Heidi frequently speaks on a variety of insurance-related topics, and she is regularly quoted and interviewed by publications including the Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, and Business Insurance. Her experience includes lecturing at Boston University School of Management.
