Biography

Henry Canelo maintains a diversified practice that ranges from personal injury to professional liability. His clients range from small businesses to sole proprietors to individuals. Henry handles large loss personal injury cases, including death and amputations arising from premises, products and automobile liability. He also has experience with employment discrimination matters and professional liability claims. Henry has tried cases in various Pennsylvania state courts as well as U.S. District Court.

Henry is personable and known for his excellent working relationships and dealing with people respectfully yet firmly. He believes that a thorough discovery process sets a case on the right course. Henry co-authored Chapter 7, “Additional Insureds and Related Topics,” of the e-book Insurance Agency Risk Management: A Comprehensive Guide to Avoiding E&O Claims, published by Agents of America. He is a board member at a Christian Counseling Center located in the suburbs of Philadelphia and uses his fluency in Spanish to translate documents for members of the Hispanic community at various times of the year.

The Pennsylvania Supreme Court recently held that primary responsibility for drug safety rests with the manufacturer, which has superior access to information about its drugs, especially in the post-marketing phase as new risks emerge. The Supreme Court further held that “pharmaceutical companies violate their duty of care if they introduce a drug into the marketplace, or continue a previous tender, with actual or constructive knowledge that a drug is too harmful to be used by anyone.”
