| Biography | Herb Solway serves as counsel at Goodmans. He was a founding member of Goodmans, joining the firm in 1955. He has played a significant role in helping build the foundation of the firm, serving as its chair from 1980 to 1992. Herb has played the central role in the recruitment of law students at Goodmans for over fifty years. He helps select the best and the brightest minds to join the firm and follow in the fine legal tradition that he helped create.
Herb has held directorships with Sun Media and John Labatt Ltd. He was also a long term Director of the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health and the Tarragon Theatre. He has been involved with the Toronto Blue Jays since their inception and now serves as Chairman. He is a Director of Gluskin Sheff.
He was appointed Queen's Counsel in 1968.
