Hillery Stones represents clients in all types of real estate disputes and in numerous related business disputes. Ms. Stones counsels lending institutions, large and small commercial and residential developers, business owners, and individuals in litigation matters ranging from landlord / tenant disputes, commercial leases, commercial contracts, title disputes, mechanic's lien law matters, partition actions, unlawful detainers, and other property disputes.
Ms. Stones also has extensive experience in contract and tort claims arising from residential purchase and sale agreements, development and construction issues, in-construction defect matters, and in energy regulatory law.
Ms. Stones has successfully prosecuted her clients' claims and defended claims against her clients by way of pre-litigation resolution, mediation, settlement, and trial. She has obtained a successful jury verdict as well as successful court judgments.
Ms. Stones also provides representation to various pro bono clients, including through her work with San Diego Volunteer Lawyers Program and in other matters.
