Patents
Holland & Hart assists clients of all sizes in the acquisition, exploitation and enforcement of intellectual property. Holland & Hart's primary duty to its intellectual property clients is the preparation of patent applications and prosecution of the applications into patents. We handle large patent portfolios for Fortune 500 companies as well as small portfolios for emerging companies.
Trademarks
As in Holland & Hart's patent practice, we have a dedicated group of trademark lawyers who practice trademark law exclusively. Our attorneys are experienced in the searching and selection, registration, and docketing of trademarks; as well as proper use, protection, and enforcement once the trademark is obtained. We handle domestic and international trademark portfolios for both large and small clients and also provide trademark primer seminars to our clients.
Copyrights
Holland & Hart's intellectual property lawyers also have experience in copyright matters. We have attorneys and paralegals who prepare copyright applications for materials ranging from a simple brochure to a complex software program. Copyright issues such as copyright registration, copyright ownership, and copyright licensing are critical to our clients and consistute a large aspect of our intellectual property practice.
Trade Secrets
Finally, trade secrets are an iimportant aspect of a company's intellectual property portfolio. We have attorneys who are knowledgeable in the trade secret area and can help clients identify and maintain trade secrets.
These efforts are critical if it becomes necessary to litigate any theft of trade secrets. Over the past five years we have handled dozens of trials, appeals, and client consultations in trade secret cases for both plaintiffs and defendants.
