Practice/Industry Group Overview

Holland & Hart attorneys have been representing ski area developers and operators for more than 40 years. As the sport of skiing has grown in popularity, the business aspects of the sport have grown increasingly complex. Our team has extensive experience with resort development law and the issues of zoning around national parks and national forest lands. Several of our attorneys have broad real estate experience with hotels, condominiums, shopping centers, lakefront resort development, retail, and restaurant facilities. Our attorneys pride themselves on knowing the ski / resort industry well enough to be able to anticipate potential issues before they arise.

The ski industry is characterized by very unique environmental and risk management issues. Providing value-orientated legal services to the ski industry requires a thorough understanding and background of these issues. Our attorneys have developed in-depth knowledge of the ski industry, which brings an experienced, practical and efficient approach to our clients' business issues. We currently perform legal work for ski area developers, operators, and clients related to the ski industry, throughout the Rocky Mountain region.
