About this office: Hope, Duggan & Silva is a firm founded in 1990 with its initial primary focus on corporate law, but has attained a strong reputation in many other areas (see below). Its members have been educated at the most prestigious law schools in Argentina and a majority of them have continued their legal education by earning masters degrees at prominent universities in the U.S. and the U.K. and had significant exposure to legal practice outside Argentina in leading law firms of New York, Washington and London, among other cities. The firm has experienced uninterrupted growth both in number of attorneys and areas of practice. Its founders have defined its mission statement as, on the one hand, the attainment of the highest standards of quality in the provision of legal services and, at the same time, the development of a widest possible range of areas of practice needed to serve their corporate, banking and individual clients. Although M&A (local and cross border), international banking and privatizations was its major line of practice in the early nineties, since then the firm's practice has extended to litigation, trusts and estates, taxation and tax planning, labor relations, real estate and others (see areas of practice). A strong emphasis is placed in teamwork and integration of different areas. Statement of Practice Summary: Mergers and Acquisitions, Banking, Capital Markets, Foreign Investments, Oil and Gas, Mining, Energy, Real Estate, Engineering and Construction, Privatizations, Utilities, Media, Communications, Commercial Law, Bankruptcy, Reorganization, Debt Restructuring, Litigation, Arbitration, Corporate Law, Administrative Law, Taxation, Trusts and Estates, Labor, Social Security, General Practice.
