Howard practices in the firm's Litigation group focusing on Commercial Litigation, Alternative Dispute Resolution, and Labor and Employment Law. In addition, he practices civil rights, constitutional and First Amendment Law.
Howard is Board Certified by the Florida Bar in Civil Trial and Business Litigation. He is also a Board Certified Civil Trial Advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy, which is the highest level of recognition by the Florida Bar of the competency and experience of attorneys in the areas of law approved for certification by the Supreme Court of Florida. There are less than 200 attorneys in the State of Florida that hold dual certification in civil trial and business litigation. Howard is also certified by the Florida Bar as a circuit court mediator.
Howard is a member of The Florida Bar, the American Bar Association (Litigation Section), the Federal Bar Association, and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America. He is also the former Chairman of the State of Florida Commission on Ethics. In addition, he has also been selected as a Florida Super Lawyer and has been listed in Best Lawyers in America. Howard was named as one of Orlando's Best Lawyers and rated AV by Martindale-Hubbell.

Howard received his J.D., cum laude, from Mercer University in 1984, where he was a member of the Brainerd Currie Honor Society and the Mercer Law Review. He received his B.A. from the University of South Florida in 1974.
