Background
Isabella Massimi is a partner in our Toronto office. Isabella was admitted to the Ontario Bar in 2005. She obtained her L.L.B. from Osgoode Hall Law School and won awards for her work in copyright law and the Nathan Strauss Award in legal writing. Prior to attending law school, Isabella studied microbiology and medical genetics at the University of Toronto earning a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) with high distinction. She continued her studies at the University of Toronto to obtain a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Laboratory Medicine and Pathobiology.

Isabella has:
ˇ Appeared before the Ontario Court of Appeal, Ontario Divisional Court and Superior Court of Justice.
ˇ Represented major U.S. and Canadian television satellite broadcasters in anti-piracy actions.
ˇ Represented major Canadian financial institutions in a variety of banking and securities litigation matters, including broker liability and mortgage fraud issues.
ˇ Acted as counsel in shareholder disputes and oppression remedies.
ˇ Acted as counsel and independent supervising solicitor in the execution of Anton Piller orders.
ˇ Participated in drafting 'model' Anton Piller and Mareva orders for the Superior Court of Justice (Commercial List).
ˇ Managed complex, large litigation files involving extensive electronic evidence, internet related matters and other technological components.
