As a transactional attorney in the Real Estate, Development & Construction industry team, Andrew advises commercial real estate clients in purchases, sales, mortgages and leases. He guides developers, builders, investors, banks and mortgage lenders in making decisions that positively influence their business goals. He negotiates various agreements involving property, from acquisition to easements to leases. He also works with financial institutions in the preparation of credit-tenant transactions involving commercial property.
Represented Chicago-based real estate investment fund in the acquisition, sale, leveraging and management of income-producing property. Routinely served as sole attorney responsible for the negotiation and drafting of various agreements, loan documentation, due diligence, title and survey clearance, lease review and closing coordination.
•Advised real estate investment group in the acquisition of in-line outdoor shopping centers in Missouri and Kansas, with values ranging from $20 million to $75 million.
•Represented regional railroad in negotiation and documentation of land acquisition, leases and easements.
•Counsel for one of the nation's largest privately held insurance companies in negotiation and documentation of complex commercial mortgage, multitenant and credit-tenant transactions involving commercial property. Values ranged from $2 million to $10 million.
•Assisted commercial banks and other financial institutions in the negotiation and documentation of commercial mortgage loans, permanent construction loans and revolving lines of credit. Transaction values were $1 million to $20 million.
•Negotiated and drafted 12,000-square-foot office lease on behalf of one of Kansas City's leading technology service providers.
