J. Curtis Greene is an associate in the Litigation Department of Barnes & Thornburg LLP's Indianapolis, Indiana office. Mr. Greene represents individuals as well as private and publicly-traded companies regionally and nationally in a variety of civil litigation matters. His practice focuses primarily in business/commercial disputes and products liability defense. Mr. Greene joined the firm after nearly 10 years in both the public and private sectors serving in various operational and executive business management roles.
Mr. Greene currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Defense Trial Counsel of Indiana. He also serves on the Executive Committee and Chair's the Organization's Business Litigation Section. Additionally, Mr. Greene is a member of the Marion County Local Rules Committee and has been selected to participate in the Indianapolis Bar Association's Bar Leader Series.
Mr. Greene graduated magna cum laude from the Indiana University School of Law - Indianapolis. As a law student, he served as editor-in-chief of volume 15 of the Indiana International & Comparative Law Review. His note was published in volume 14.3 of the Indiana International & Comparative Law Review and was selected for the Indiana State Bar Association's Blackwell Award and Sarah Nagy Award. Mr. Greene received Order of the Barristers honors and was third overall top advocate and a quarterfinalist in the School's Honorable Robert H. Staton Intramural Moot Court Competition.
Mr. Greene received his B.S. and M.S. from Ball State University, where he earned a graduate fellowship and was named Academic All-American on the school's baseball team.
Mr. Greene is an active member of the Defense Trial Counsel of Indiana, Indianapolis Bar Association, Indiana State Bar Association, and American Bar Association. He is admitted to practice before all Indiana state courts and the United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana. He is also admitted to practice before the Central District of Illinois, D.C. Circuit, and the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals.
