DAVID DUNN has practised with Owen, Bird (now Owen Bird Law Corporation) since 1974. Since that time he has piloted several business cycles with his clients and practised in every aspect of commercial and residential real estate development and finance.
Dave is senior counsel with the firm. His clients rely on his experience and advice during each step of their project. Dave is practical and entrepreneurial and offers an invaluable level of insight into his clients' business affairs. He is known for his negotiating skills and ability to assist his clients in structuring complex business deals.
Dave's real estate development clients are companies active in all aspects of development, primarily in the Greater Vancouver, Vancouver Island and Whistler markets. Dave also acts for institutional clients specializing in construction loans, and for small lenders active in equity real estate financing.
Capitalizing on his experience representing developers in Whistler, Dave has recently been working on the development of resort properties throughout British Columbia. Dave enjoys combining his understanding and appreciation of the outdoors with his knowledge of real estate development and finance to offer clients unique legal services in this growing practice area. He believes that the success of B.C.'s economy lies with tapping B.C.'s resort potential.
Dave's time outside of his practice is spent with his family. He is a keen sportsman actively involved in fishing, golf, skiing and mountain biking.
