J. RANDY HIBSHMAN, a patent attorney in the firm's Mechanical Patent Prosecution practice group, drafts and prosecutes patent applications for clients in the mechanical arts.
Mr. Hibshman draws upon more than 12 years of engineering and project leadership experience with United Technologies Research Center, GE Global Research, GE Energy, and Dominion Resources. As an engineer, Mr. Hibshman primarily conducted research and development in the fields of energy and propulsion technologies, as well as semiconductor and high-temperature materials. His specific areas of technical expertise include combustion systems for gas turbines and diesel engines, exhaust gas aftertreatment, turbomachinery, chemical reactor design, microelectromechanical systems (MEMS), and system-level optimization of combined cycle (gas turbine + steam turbine) power plants.
Mr. Hibshman is named as an inventor on seven granted U.S. patents, with other patent applications still pending before the USPTO. Accordingly, his technical depth and practical experience enable him to communicate effectively with scientists, inventors, and business leaders to procure the broadest patents possible to meet their business goals.
